Composite bodies with a core of polymethacrylimide foam material and with a covering layer comprising an optionally fibre-reinforced duroplastic material are produced by laying the duroplastic material onto the foam core and heating the composite structure in a hollow mould, if appropriate with the cooperation of microwave radiation, the foam core generating a foaming pressure of at least 1 bar, and the covering layer being pressed onto the mould by means of the foaming pressure and at the same time being connected to the foam and cured. |
