PURPOSE:To attain reduced cost by dispensing with an indication switch or a command for automatically sucking slip printing paper, by mounting a detection means detecting whether a slip printing medium is set to a platen and a medium feed control means performing the feed operation of the slip printing medium to a printing position. CONSTITUTION:At first, if the printing paper on a platen 2a is detected by a microswitch 31 when an FF switch 19 is pushed down, the FF operation of continuous paper 3 is ordered. When the line feed of FF residual line feed quantity L3 is completed, a clock signal stops. If the printing paper is not detected, the SL operation of a slip 3a is ordered and, at first, a PB signal comes to 'H' and a paper bail driving circuit 30 starts to retract a bail roller R1 from the surface of the platen 2a and line feed is started by the clock signal. When the line feed of SL line feed quantity L2 is completed, the clock signal is stopped by 'H' of a stop signal and the PB signal comes to a low level 'L' to allow the bail roller R1 to return to the surface of the platen 2a. As mantioned above, by the control command of a FF code, operation necessary at that time can be performed. |
