PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary upshifting, by prohibiting shifting operation when the return speed of an accelerator pedal is higher than a prescribed value or the rotation angle of a steering wheel is more than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When a driving person has quickly released an accelerator pedal 7 at a turn on even ground, a curve on an uphill or the like, the output of a potentiometer 9 changes sharply and a differentiation circuit 10 generates an output corresponding to the displacement speed of the accelerator pedal. An output portion corresponding to the return speed of the accelerator pedal 7 is taken out of the output of the circuit 10 by a diode 11 and applied to a comparator circuit 12, which compares the output portion with a reference voltage Es. When the driving person has operated a steering wheel 14 over a prescribed rotation angle, a switch circuit 15 is turned on. When output signals are generated by the circuits 12, 15 and an H-level signal is produced by an OR circuit 16, an actuator switch 5 is turned off to put a shifting actuator 6 out of operation. |
