PURPOSE:To achieve variable friction damping by placing a sub-plate between a pair of drive plates facing at both sides of plate section integral with a hub and said hub/while coupling each plate through a compression spring functioning in step. CONSTITUTION:A sub-plate 14 is arranged between drive plates 2, 2' arranged at both sides of plate section 1a integral with the hub 1. Windows 6, 7 for containing a compression spring 3 functionable at first stage are formed at said sub-plate 14 and plate section 1a. While windows 8-11 for containing compression springs 4, 5 functionable at second and third steps are formed in each plate 2, 2' and 14 where the windows 9, 11 are formed wider in circumferential direction than the windows 8, 10 while the windows 19, 20 to be formed in the plate section 1a are made to have same circumferential width as said windows 8, 10. Low and high frictional members 15, 16 are placed between the plates 14, 1a and 14, 2 and 2'. |
