An arrangement (15) which can be attached to a shroud (9) or other elongated traction element, and which can be fitted on the said traction element (9) to prevent, amongst other things, sails and the like from being torn by contact with a part of a boat such as a shroud spreader (8), etc., for example. The invention enables an arrangement (15) which has a thicker section to be attached to a shroud (9), etc. which is already set up in position, and has the effect thereby of amongst other things preventing a sail from being torn by contact with a part of a boat. Pairs of disc-shaped attachment elements (1, 1<1>) are provided, each having a cut-out (2) adapted to be fitted on the traction element (9) transversely thereto, and the respective attachment elements (1, 1<1>) having connecting devices (3, 6, 7) by means of which the said two attachment elements (1, 1<1>) can be joined together encircling the traction element (9). |
