ONE SIDE GALVANIZING METHOD ON STEEL SHEET WITH LIGHT COATING WEIGHT

PURPOSE:To decrease considerably the light coating weight of one side galvanizing by forming high temp. flame flow along a steel sheet toward the upper side from a plating bath. CONSTITUTION:A high temp. flame 12 is blown near the intersected point 11 of a surface 9 coated with a plating stop-off agent and a plating bath surface 10 to make extremely fine the zinc to be stuck and carried on the surface 9 in the stage of pulling up a steel sheet coated with the plating stop-off agent on one side from a galvanizing bath 2. The flow 13 of the flame 12 is formed from the plating bath toward the upper side along the surface 9 of a strip 14 up to the height equivalent to the height of a wiper 7. The cooling of the zinc coating 15 carried by the strip 14 by a piping gaseous fluid 16 is thus prevented and the temp. of the coating 15 is maintained at the temp. of the bath 2 or above. If the fluid 16 is blown at a high rate, the coating weight is reduced to about <=20g /m<2>.
