PURPOSE:To prevent a user from keeping waiting at every restarting even if an operation is interrupted on account of a jam processing or the like by enabling the execution of an image forming mode immediately if a fixing means satisfies prescribed fixing conditions when a heat source means is turned on again after said means is turned off. CONSTITUTION:When a jam is generated in a step (d), a fixing heater is turned on upon ending of a jam processing in a step (g). If the fixing heater is off for >=5min in a step (h), the surface temp. of a heating roller is definitely <=150 deg.C and therefore the temp. is again heated up to 180 deg.C in a step (b). If the time when the fixing heater is off is within 5min in a step (h), the temp. is senssd in a step (i) and if the temp. is >=150 deg.C, the step is advanced to A, and the input of a copying button is kept standing-by in a step (c). On the other hand, if the temp. is <150 deg.C, the temp. is again increased up to 180 deg.C in the step (b). |
