<p>PURPOSE:To use one control signal to suppress the consumption of unnecessary electric power, by providing a means which transmits an output signal having a prescribed level in response to a power supply control signal which is supplied for the purpose of cutting off the electric power supplied to a load circuit. CONSTITUTION:The means is provided which transmits the output signal having a prescribed level in response to the power supply control signal which is supplied for the purpose of cutting off the electric power supplied to the load circuit. For example, a central processing unit CPU is provided with a display turning-off key K1, which turns off the display, and an input key group K2 consisting of numeric keys or the like. The display turning-off key K1 is depressed to set a power supply control signal CS, which is transmitted from the CPU to a power supply circuit DPS for display, to the high level, and an output signal Q of the power supply circuit DPS for display is raised from VLCD (-8V) to VCC1 (+5V). Then, a transistor T is made nonconductive, and the state of a display circuit L1 is inverted from the turn-on state to the turn-off state, thus suppressing the power consumption in the display circuit L.</p> |
