PURPOSE:To obtain extremely superior corrosion resistance by using denatured carbon black or denatured graphite graft-polymerized with vinyl series monomer as a conductive material. CONSTITUTION:Denatured carbon black or denatured graphite graft-polymerized with vinyl series monomer or both of them are used as a conductive material in a plastic electrode formed by kneading the conductive material with a plastic raw material. It is preferrable to use polyolefin resin or its denatured material as the plastic raw material. When such a carbon plastic electrode is used as an electrode of a cell using metal halogen as an active material, the permeability of halogen is extremely low and the cell life can be sustained for a long time.
