PURPOSE:To improve the discharge capacity of a battery of specifying a mixing ratio of lead iodide powder with carbonyl nickel powder in a specific range in a solid electrolyte battery taking lead iodide as a positive electrode active substance. CONSTITUTION:A mixing ratio of lead iodide as a positive electrode active substance with carbonyl nickel as an electron conducting agent is made 4:0.4- 4:0.25 in a theoretical volume ration. When added quantity of carbonyl nickel is more reduced than 6vol% (4:0.25 in the theoretical volume ratio), resistance is rapidly increased, thus making it impossible to assure electron conductivity required for a positive electrode. Conversely, when said quantity becomes larger than 9vol% (4:0.4 in the theoretical volume ratio), the amount of filling of lead iodide is reduced to that extent, allowing discharge capacity to be reduced. |
