<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is H, lower alkyl, lower alkanoyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl, aralkyl, or aryl; n is 0-3) and its salt. EXAMPLE:7beta-[2-( 3,4-Diacetoxybenzoylamino )-2-( 2-aminothiazol-4-yl )actamidocephalosporanic acid. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, especially resistant Gram-negative bacteria. PROCESS:A cephalosporin derivative shown by the formula II (R<1> is H, or carboxy-protecting group; R<2> is H, or amino-protecting group) is reacted with 1- 1.5mol equivalent benzoic acid derivative or its active derivative shown by the formula III at preferably -10-5 deg.C for 5-30min, and, if necessary, 0.5-1hr at room temperature, and, further if necessary, the protecting group is removed.</p> |
