Process for manufacturing cushions made from elastic foam from at least one portion of elastic polyurethane foam cut into a block of continuously produced foam. The foam portions 11, 12a, 12b, 13, 14 are impregnated with a liquid or with a mixture of liquids which can, by reaction, be converted into an elastic solid material, the impregnated portions are dried so as to leave a predetermined quantity of liquid in the foam, the impregnated and dried foam portions are placed in a mould and the impregnation liquid is reacted in order to convert it into elastic solid material, the combination of portions adhesively bonded together adopting the shape of the mould.
