PURPOSE:To shorten the expansion time of form overlay and data, by leaving a form overlay pattern, which is expanded once,expanded on an image memory as it is, until the next differenct form overlay is indicated. CONSTITUTION:Data of form overlay of FOV are registered in an FOV register area, and data to be overlaid on FOV patterns are registered in a data storage area. FOV data is read out and is expanded on an image memory 24. Next, data is read out and is overwritten onto a memory where FOV expansion is already performed. The FOV pattern expanded on the image memory 24 and overwrote graphic character data are sent to an output buffer and are printed. If a new order (change of FOV) does not exist after printing, contents of the image memory 24 is not cleared, and the control is returned to a data read process to process next data. |
