PURPOSE:To enlarge the focus distance of an image pickup lense by providing the image pickup lense surface of an optical range finder applying photocutting method so that said surface is inclined by acute angle for the observation side against the observation axis. CONSTITUTION:A collimator 6 is provided corresponding to a helium and neon laser oscillator 5. A parallel beam light 1 is made incident vertically to a reflecting surface 4 opposing the meter 6. The image pickup lense 7 is provided so that the surface is inclined by an angle phi to the beam (observing axis) 10 which is the reflected light 1 by an angle theta1. It is provided so that the angle phi becomes an acute angle of 0<phi<90 degree from the observation side against the axis 10. A point P is the cross point on the optical axis of the surface of the lense 7 and the light 1. A first dimension photodetector 3 is provided so that it has an angle theta2 to the beam 10 and the photodetecting surface passes the point P. A circuit 8 detects the peak address of the detector 3 which has received the beam 10. A linear corrector circuit 9 corrects the peak address. |
