PURPOSE:To make it possible to heat one's feet uniformly while the KOTATSU is in use by a method wherein a heater is incorporated into a strut provided at the center of a table and a heat discharge port for discharging the radiant heat or hot air from the heater is provided below at least the upper surface of a sunken frame. CONSTITUTION:The table 7 is formed of a ceiling plate 8 and the strut 9 for supporting the ceiling plate 8. Further, the electrical heater 10 is incorporated into the strut 9 and the heat discharge port 11 for discharging heat from the heater 10 outside the strut 9 is provided in the entire periphery of the outer wall of the strut 9. As the heat discharge port 11 faces one's feet inserted into the KOTATSU, it is possible to heat one's feet substantially uniform.
