PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of floating-up operation of a settled tube by a method in which bolts connecting coupling franges between a sand discharge tube and a flexible sleeve are partly removed out, a blind plate is inserted into the connection and again connected with the bolts, and air is supplied under pressure into the tube. CONSTITUTION:Connecting bolts 19 are removed from a sand discharge tube 1 and a flexible sleeve 3 in the connected state by leaving the connecting bolt on the lower side. A blind plate 4 is inserted from above into the connection, coupling franges 17 and 18 are again connected with the connecting bolt 19, and the sand discharge tube 1 on the sea side is closed with the blind plate 4. Air is supplied into the sand discharge tube 1 through an air hose 24 attached to the upper valve 23 of the tube 1 by means of a compressor to float-up the settled tube 2. The number of workers can thus be reduced and the working time can be greatly shortened. |
