In a storage hook for the end of the tensioning section of a tyre chain, a hook-in part is permanently connected to a tensioning spring which forms an elastic handle for the hook-in part. Inside the spring, travel-limiting elements for the travel of the spring are arranged, which elements consist, as does the hook-in part, of plastic. The tensioning spring which forms a handle and additional recessed grips arranged on the hook-in part make the storage hook easy to handle.
