PURPOSE:To easily construct a breakwater at low construction cost by effectively utilizing scrapped hull by a method in which scrapped hulls are towed to the setting place of a breakwater, settled, and moored for fixation to construct the breakwater. CONSTITUTION:Scrapped hulls 3 are towed to a place where a breakwater or revetment is to be set up, settled, and fixed to the seabed B by a mooring rope 4 and anchors 5. A large number of bore holes 7 are provided over a fixed vertical range of the flat water surface P of both side walls of the hull 3 after or before the setting the hull 3. In this case, the hull 3 is preferably set at almost right angle to the advancing direction X of tidal wave, and as needed, plural scrapped hulls 3 are settled in their longitudinal directions. The scrapped hulls can thus be effectively utilized the construction cost of the breakwater can be reduced. |
