PURPOSE:To stabilize the ground by a method in which a tube incorporated with a presser lever is penetrated into the ground and then slightly pulled out to form a hole, and a powdery granular material is packed into the hole while compressing the material by a blade provided at the tip end of the presser lever. CONSTITUTION:A tube 5 is normally turned and at the same time a presser lever 6 is inversely turned, and when the tube 5 reaches a given depth, the turning of the tube 5 is stopped and then a powdery granular material 14, e.g., quick lime, gypsum, etc., is charged from a hopper 11 into the tube 5. The material 14 is packed into the tube 5 until it almost reaches the ground's surface. The hopper 11 is removed, the tube 5 is inversely turned, the presser lever 6 is slightly pulled up while being turned normally, and then only the presser lever 6 is normally turned. Whereupon, the material 14 is dropped into the hole 15, pressed by a blade 10, and compressed further to form a compressed short pillar 16a. By repeating the same operations, compressed short pillars 16b-16n are formed, where the material 14 is expanded and hardened by water in the ground to form a strong columnar body 16. |
