A frame for receiving a plurality of containers in a hold of a ship, with rods arranged in the vertical direction, provides apparatuses for its movement within the hold of the ship. The frame consists of a basic frame with vertical rods to receive and guide a plurality of containers in at least one layer. Furthermore, the plurality of containers can be arranged on the basic frame in at least one stack above another. They are guided on the rods.
