PURPOSE:To reduce wear in a glass material as well as to aim at the maintenance of good appearance and the prolongation of service life in a way of preventing the occurrence of overfluffing and/or end breakage in yarn for a long period of time, by making up a yarn guide, which guides a natural or synthetic fiber, with a zirconia sintered body. CONSTITUTION:A component ratio of Y2O3 is 0.5-9mol% against zirconia, while a partially stabilized zirconia sintered body is 9-55mol%, thus a stabilized zirconia sintered body is produced. Also the component ratio of CaO is 8- 12mol% against zirconia, while the partially stabilized zirconia sintered body is 16-29mol%, making up the stabilized zirconia sintered body, and when the component ratio of MgO is 16-26mol%, it turns to the partially stabilized zirconia sintered body. These components are mixed and molded into a compact by pressure and then burned under an ambience at a temperature of 1,400-1,700 deg.C, to say yet more desirable, 1,450-1,550 deg.C dependent upon a stabilizer, however. A grain diameter to be obtained therewith is recommended to be below 2mum and if adjustment for material grain size, burning time and temperature is taken into acount, the grain size should be below 1mum and an empty space is little, if any, so that a longevity yarn guide can be secured. |
