A spigot which is provided especially for beer barrels, comprises a valve body (1) a coupling end piece (2) which is provided on the valve body and is insertable into an outlet aperture, a drawing pipe (5) which passes through the coupling end piece and the valve body, a valve (3) which is rotatably fitted in the valve body and is for the optional blocking and opening of the drawing pipe, and a sealing ring of an elastic rubber material fitted on the coupling end piece. To produce a solid and tight fit of the spigot in an outlet aperture, the sealing ring (20) is arranged on a sliding jacket (13) which is guided on the coupling end piece in a tight and axially displaceable manner. The sliding jacket has a radially projecting stop (21) on its side facing the free end of the coupling end piece, the sealing ring resting on this stop (21), the opposite side of which is provided with an external thread (22) on which a nut fits. Tightening of the nut compresses the sealing ring (20) resting on the stop (21) in an axial direction. <IMAGE>
