发明名称 OPTICAL CURRENT TRANSFORMER
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the length of an optical fiber connecting a high voltage part and a light emitting section by applying a winding to an iron core through which a primary conductor runs to supply current flowing through the winding to a power source section of the light emitting section. CONSTITUTION:An alternating current generated in a winding 11 by a magnetic field induced with an iron core 2 is converted into a proper voltage or current with a power source section 12 and after stabilized, supplied to a light emitting section 7. Light from the light emitting section 7 reaches a polarizer 4 through an optical fiber 6, a linearly polarized light entering a Faraday element 3 rotates in the polarization plane in proportion to current flowing through a primary conductor 1. Then, light drawn as such with the intensity corresponding to the angle of rotation of the polarization plane with a photo detector 5 is sent to a light receiving section 9 through an optical fiber 8 and an electrical signal proportional to the current flowing through the primary conductor 1 is outputted. Thus, the light emitting section 7 and the power source section 12 can be set at a high voltage part to reduce the length of the optical fiber 6.</p>
