PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid jet recording apparatus having a recording head capable of always stably performing accurate and highly reliable recording, by specifying the ratio of the min. average diameter of orifices and the average diameter of openings provided to the heat acting part side of the orifice. CONSTITUTION:The average diameter R of openings provided to the heat acting part side of orifices and the min. average diameter (r) of the orifices satisfy the formula 0.025<=r/R<11.0. In addition, the relation of the min. average diameter (r) and the thickness (d) (the length from an atmospheric side surface to a heat acting part side surface) of an orifice plate, that is, r/d is pref. brought to the relation for satisfying the formula 0.1<=r/d<=10.0. By adjusting the value r/R to the above mentioned range, the emission of liquid droplets becomes stable and a voltage margin width is widen. Further, if the value (r) is too small, resistance to obstacles such as dust or the like becomes weak and, if too large, the emission of liquid droplets becomes unstable. With respect to the orifice shape, the min. average diameter (r) may be set on the way of the orifice and the orifice may be formed in the size of the min. average diameter (r) from the halfway of the orifice. |
