PURPOSE:To stabilize the continuous emitting capacity of liquid droplets and to enhance the frequency limit in the formation of liquid droplets, by specifying the relation of the min. cross-sectional area of a liquid droplet emitting orifice and the volume of each liquid droplet. CONSTITUTION:The relation of the min. cross-sectional area S0 of a liquid droplet emitting orifice 101 for forming liquid droplets in a flight state and the volume V of each liquid droplet emitting from the liquid droplet emitting orifice satisfies the formula 100<=V/S0<3/2=0.1. In order to more effectively acheive the object, the range is pref. adjusted to 50-0.1. As ink to be used, one of which the surface tension force is pref. 25-65 dyne/cm and the viscosity is pref. 1-20CP is desirably used. By this method, if the frequency of an input signal is 5KHz or more, the continuous and stable emission of liquid droplet sufficiently faithful to the input signal is obtained. |
