PURPOSE:To obtain good electrophotographic characteristics in an electrophotographic offset printing original plate forming a photoconductive layer on a precoat layer formed on the surface of a conductive substrate by forming the precoat made of specified components. CONSTITUTION:A precoat layer is formed by coating a conductive substrate with a coating liquid comprising a pigment contg. a sericite component, a synthetic resin emulsion contg. reactive hydroxyl or carboxyl groups, a melamine early- stage condensate, and a catalyst hardening said condensate, and drying. This precoat layer is excellent in both of resistances to water and org. solvents, and the obtained plate is always stable and it forms a sharp image, and further, causes no extension of plate size during printing. |
