A kitchen machine comprising domestic apparatus which is provided with a rotatable tool and a motor unit (1) for driving the tool, both the domestic apparatus and the motor unit comprising a respective coupling part (3, 6). One of the coupling parts (6) is provided with a shaft (8) which has at least one coupling lug (14) arranged to co-operate with a groove (5) in a sleeve-shaped member (4) of the other coupling part. The coupling part comprising the shaft is provided with a sleeve (7) in which the shaft (8) is resiliently supported. The shaft (8) comprises at least one radial projection (13) which is displaceable in a helical recess (12) in the wall of the sleeve.
