PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the mechanical properties, the irreversible demagnetizing factor, heat resistance and magnetic performance of a permanent magnet by a method wherein after rare-earth intermetallic compound magnet powder is mixed with a metal or an alloy in the molten metal condition, the mixture is injected to the metal mold of the desired shape in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A rare-earth intermetallic compound alloy is heat-treated at 1,100-1,200 deg.C in an argon gas atmospheric furnace to be converted into a solution, for example, and heat treatment at 500-900 deg.C and ageing treatment are performed in succession to attain depositing and hardening treatment, and the alloy completed with heat treatment is pulverized roughly and then minutely to form nagnet powder. The magnet metal thereof is mixed in a molten metal or alloy, and die casting is performed in a magnetic field. Namely, die casting molds 2, 3 are put in a space part generated with the magnetic field according to a magnetic field coil 1, and when die casting is performed, the mixture of the raw materials is injected with pressure at a stroke toward spaces 5, 4 according to a piston 6 in the condition mixed with magnet powder in the metal or the alloy in the molten metal condition, and because the inside of the molds 2, 3 is applied with the magnetic field, the magnet powder is oriented to the fixed direction. |
