<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the wear resistance of the surface of the titled lance, for a blast furnace, by coating the surface of said lance with a self-fluxing alloy having a proper composition. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 11, 12 comprising an autogeneous smelting alloy is formed on the surface of a lance 10 to be charged in a blast furnace for detecting a condition inside the furnace. A Ni-based alloy having the composition of 0.15-1.5wt% C, 9-25% Cr, 0.8-5% B, 0.8-5% and the balance Ni, for instance, or a Co-based alloy is selected as said autogeneous smelting alloy and applied to thickness of 0.5-3.0mm. by the method of spraying and then reheating, etc. Hence, the lance 10 for a blast furnace can be protected from abrasion, and its life can be prolonged.</p> |
