<p>A reciprocating piston pump has at least one sealing sleeve which has one section extending radially and held at least partially by the piston part as well as a lipped area forming a seal with the cylinder wall. The wall thickness (d) of the sleeve section (11) extending radially is greater than the wall thickness (b) of the lipped area (12) of the sealing sleeve (10). According to a particular further development, the internal width of the pump cylinder in the centre area of the piston stroke movement is slightly constricted. In the pump a good bearing of the comparatively thin lipped area (12) of the sealing sleeve (10) is achieved which at the same time results in strong lateral support of the reciprocating piston. The sleeve section (11) extending radially and designed with a greater wall thickness is fully capable of bridging the annular gap between the reciprocating piston and the wall of the pump cylinder. With this reduced internal width of the pump cylinder in the centre area of the piston stroke movement, this reduction counteracts any increase in the gap between the reciprocating piston and cylinder wall as a result of the inclined position of the reciprocating piston. <IMAGE></p> |
