PURPOSE:To improve cleaning performance and reliability by providing a recovery member which contacts a magnetic brush and recovers electrostatically a developer that is removed from an image carrier and then sticks to the magnetic brush. CONSTITUTION:A conductive attracting roller 13 which is rotatable as shown by an arrow is arranged adjacently to a nonmagnetic sleeve 6, and a DC vias 14 is connected to this attracting roller 13, which is impressed with a bias higher than the nonmagnetic sleeve 6. Consequently, toner T' cleaned by the magnetic brush is attracted to the conductive attracting roller 13. The toner T' is then scraped off by a scraping plate 15 to fall on a toner recovery part 16 and conveyed by a toner conveyance screw 17 to be discharged out of a housing 5. Thus, cleaning defects at a high-density picture part and an untransfer part are prevented to improve the cleaning efficiency and reliability. |
