PURPOSE:To enable uniform mixing of bonding agent easy and to make the practical use of low cost bonding agent and slag on dust possible, by a method wherein the granulated pig iron and granulated steel from the slag and dust generated in the process of iron and steel making are mixed with carbon powder and grains and bentnite is used as a binding agent. CONSTITUTION:A mixture composed of 30-70wt% granulated pig iron or granulated steel of 3mm. max. in particle size selected from the blast furnace slag, the slag generated in the ladle-refining process of desulphurization, dephosphorization, etc. of hot metal, on the slag of steel making furnace such as converter and electric furnace on the converter dust, and the remainder of carbon powder and grains of 3mm. max. in particle size, is provided. 100pts.wt. of that is added with 3-8pts.wt. of bentnite as binding agent, or that of its one half max. substituted with CaO when necessary, and further added with water so that the water content at molding becomes 5-10wt%. After blending the steel making recarburizer is obtained by forming them into lumpy material. |
