PURPOSE:To mix and stir a toner and carrier sufficiently and to utilize a stirring device even for a fast copying machine by supplying the developer in the developing machine to the housing of the developing machine after mixing and stirring it in a room dedicated to conveyance and mixing. CONSTITUTION:The whole or part of the developer after being used for development in a development area is conveyed to the room 10 dedicated to conveyance and mixing by the 1st conveying means 7, and the developer in this room 10 is conveyed into a conveyance paddle 4 provided in the housing 2 of the developing machine A by the 2nd conveying means 8. Then, the 2nd conveying means 8 employs an auger and is provided in the conveyance paddle 4, and the auger and conveyance paddle 4 are driven in the opposite directions to rotate; and an opening part 8d is formed lengthwise in the outer cylinder 8a of the auger on the side where the amount of the developer is less during the rotation of the conveyance paddle 4. |
