PURPOSE:To enable to correct the desired idling speed with ease, by correcting the desired idling speed on the basis of the number of times when an accelerator pedal is depressed in stopping an internal combustion engine having an idling- speed control apparatus for controlling the flow rate of air by-passing a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:An idling-speed controlling apparatus shown in the drawing has an idling-speed control valve 13 disposed in a by-pass passage 12 by-passing a throttle valve 10, and the valve 13 is controlled by an electronic control circuit 20 on the basis of the outputs of an oxygen sensor 5, a sensor 8 for detecting the temperature of intake air, a water-temperature sensor 9 and an air-flow meter 14. When a T-terminal is short-circuited at the time of stopping an engine, ON-OFF switching of an idle switch 26 is repeated through operation of the accelerator pedal, and the count of a prescribed counter is increased by the number of times of ON-OFF switching caused by the switch 26. Subsequently, when the engine is started and set into idling operation, the desired idling speed is corrected on the basis of the corrected count value. |
