PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized and inexpensive AC generator by providing a compensating rectifier inserted in series between one end of an armature winding and one of output terminals, and a compensating exciting winding connected to both terminals of the rectifier. CONSTITUTION:One end of an armature winding 1 is connected to an output terminal 8, and the other end is connected to an output terminal 9 through a rectifier 6. A rectifier 5 is connected to both terminals of the winding 1, and a main exciting winding 2 is connected to the rectifier 5. A compensating exciting winding 3 is connected to both terminals of the rectifier 6. A load 10 is connected between the terminal 8 and 9. A load current I flowed to the load 10 is alternately flowed at every half cycle to the winding 3 and the rectifier 6. The exciting is compensated by the load current I1 flowed to the winding 3, and the decrease in the terminal voltage can be compensated by connecting the load 10 between the terminals 8 and 9. Accordingly, the terminal can be maintained substantially constantly irrespective of the magnitude of the load by selecting the ampere turn of the winding 3, and a small-sized and inexpensive AC generator can be provided. |
