PURPOSE:To execute multicolor copying with simple constitution requiring no chargers, etc. by forming installing a light shading electrode, and semitransparent electrodes each transmitting light different from each other opposite to an image element electrode interposing a photoconductive layer and forming an image having potentials reverse in polarity to each other in accordance with colors. CONSTITUTION:Semitransparent electrodes 5, 6 and a light shading electrode 4 are arranged oppositely to an image element electrode 2 interposing a photoconductive layer 3, and reverse potential voltages Va, Vb are applied to the electrodes 4, 5 and the electrodes 4, 6, respectively. An image having potentials reverse in polarity is formed in the electrode 2 in accordance with exposure to image light of 2 colors, etc. given from a transparent substrate 7 through the layer 3, and this image is developed and a visible image of 2 colors or the like is reproduced. Therefore, multicolor copying can be accomplished with simple and compact constitution without requiring chargers, etc. |
