PURPOSE:To form an economical and highly reliable computer system by applying multiplexing to a service processor having comparatively reliability by means of a common connection circuit. CONSTITUTION:Service processors 2-5 are connected to a system monitor controller 1. For instance, if the processor 2 has a breakdown while the processor 2 is connected to a partition 6 to perform the mutual communication, the controller 1 connects a spare service processor 5 or a service processor 4 having low priority of a batch processing system to the partition 6 in place of the processor 2. In other words, the controller 1 detects the breakdown of the processor 2 and informs the address of the partition 6 to the service processor 5. Then the processor 5 transmits the address of the partition 6, the address of the processor 5 itself and the setting signal of the processor 5 itself to a common connection circuit 9. The partition 6 detects the change of the destination of connection owing to the fact that the address of the processor 2 is changed to the address of the processor 5. Thus the connection is possible between the partition 6 and the processor 5. |
