This device comprises a fixed plate 5 and a movable plate 14 which are parallel and placed at a slight distance from one another, one of which bears a message or pictogram to be displayed, the centres of the two plates being aligned, and each plate having a slot 10, 16 extending from its centre to its outer edge, the movable plate 14 being mounted so as to pivot around a shaft pressing through the centres of the two plates, in such a way as to be able, successively, to be placed at the back or at the front of the fixed plate 5, and to allow or prevent viewing of the message.
