PURPOSE:To improve transferability of a toner, separability of a transfer sheet from the surface of a photosensitive body, and its cleanability and to obtain a long-lived photosensitive body capable of forming a high quality image by forming a photoconductive layer made of hardly crystallizable Se-As alloy or a surface made of said alloy on said layer and properly roughening the surface. CONSTITUTION:An Se-As alloy is vapor deposited on a conductive substrate 2 of aluminum or the like to form a photoconductive layer 3, or the surface of said layer is made of said alloy. Then, the surface of the layer 3 is roughened with a grinding wheel #2000, abrasive cloth, or the like to form 0.1-2.0mum peaks and valleys in the level difference and the width between the peaks and valleys preferably smaller than the particle diameters of the toner to be used. As a result, the obtained photosensitive body is prevented from spot-like uneven charging and damaging of cleaning blades, and high in reliability. |
