Thermostatic mixing valve for mixing hot and cold water and having a built-in thermostatic sensor (1) to create a predetermined mixing temperature by displacement of a control piston between the valve seats (4, 5) of the valve. According to the invention, the control piston has two parts (2, 3), of which one part actuates the hot-water seat (4) of the valve and the second part actuates the cold-water seat (5) of the valve. The distance of the two sealing devices of the control piston from the hot and cold seat can be varied by axial displacement of the two parts relative to one another. It is thereby possible to avoid a separate metering and shut-off valve at the outlet nozzle.
