The invention relates to a mechanical cabinet with a circular conveyor of the paternoster type, consisting of two endless chains (1, 2), of a plurality of trays (17) for reception of industrial articles for example, which trays are suspended by their front sides at set equal distances on the two endless chains (1, 2) via pairs of brackets (7, 8) and of stationary guide rails (18, 19) on the narrow sides of the cabinet, which consist respectively of two vertical sections (20) and one upper and lower curve section (21, 22) respectively and in which guide elements (10) rigidly connected to the front sides of the trays (17) are guided. In mechanical cabinets of this kind, problems arise with regard to a reliable and jerk-free guidance of the endless chains and of the trays, especially when the trays are filled unevenly. To obtain a design which is resistant to deformation and improved guidance, two guide elements (11, 12) are mounted with a vertical space between them on each guide member (10), both guide elements (11, 12) being jointly guided in the vertical sections (20) of the guide rails (18, 19) and only one guide element (12) being respectively guided in the curve sections (21, 22). The sizes and arrangements of the components are to be accommodated to one another in such away that the trays (17) support one another during their vertical movements. <IMAGE>
