The invention relates to a process for the preparation of adhesives which are particularly suitable for glass/glass or glass/metal bonding of optical components. The aim of the invention is to produce durable, weathering-resistant adhesive bonds which have low stress and high precision. The object of the invention comprises modifying the curing process of adhesives in such a manner that it is possible to achieve both rapid fixing with the possibility for correction, and slow full curing. This is achieved according to the invention in a process based on a polymerisation system by adding a cation-forming photoinitiator in a proportion by weight of 0.5-5% to the reaction mixture comprising a liquid methacrylate component in a proportion by weight of 10-50%, a free radical-forming photoinitiator in a proportion by weight of 0.5-5% and a diepoxide component in a proportion by weight of 90-50%.
