A corner reinforcement (1) (Fig. 1) comprises a flexible lattice fabric, which is attached as corner strips in the corner region of a wall. The corner reinforcement (1) has a predetermined bending zone (6), running in the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing strip (5). The strip (5) is of a flat form before attaching in the corner region of the wall and during attaching to the corner of the wall is bent off appropriately in the region of the predetermined bending zone. This can be performed with relatively low deforming resistance without further aids, by virtue of the increased bending readiness in the predetermined bending zone. The fabric is provided with a thermoplastic sheathing as a finish. The apparatus for producing such a corner reinforcement has at least one heating zone as well as a deforming device, by means of which a thermoplastic deformation in what is later the predetermined bending zone and, if appropriate, also a recovery into the flat form can take place. By virtue of the initially flat configuration of the corner reinforcement, it can be kept well in rolls in particular, in a virtually endless form. <IMAGE> |
