The invention relates to an alignment device for the lateral alignment of a sheet 2 on the feed table 3 of a sheet processing machine. A suction gripper 1 is lowered from a fully raised initial position down onto the sheet 2 and, once it has taken hold of it, raises it through at least one sheet thickness into a transport position. The suction gripper 1 moves with the sheet 2 to the side mark 4, so that it can move back to its initial position once it has released the sheet 2 in a fully raised position. <IMAGE> |
