PURPOSE:To reduce and decompose NOX produced in primary combustion by a structure wherein flame of Bunsen burner is divided into primary and secondary combustions and at the same time catalyzer carrying ABO3 compound oxide is arranged in a primary combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Because the division of Bunsen flame in primary combustion and secondary combustion causes flame temperature drop, the reduction of NOX value is also resulted. In addition, catalyzer 10 carrying ABO3 compound oxide (perovskite-type structure) is arranged in a primary combustion chamber 9, whereby A represents La or Sr and B represents Co, Fe, Mn or the like. The ABO3 compound oxide can decompose NOX into N2 and O2 under a reducing atmosphere with nearly no partial pressure of oxygen. Because primary combustion is proceeded in the primary combustion chamber 9 with the air ratio, which is below theoretical amount of air and above inflammability limit, no partial pressure of oxygen can be said to exist at all in the primary combustion flame and at the same time dense atmosphere of reducing gas such as CO and the like is produced, the ABO3 double oxide reduces and decomposes NOX produced in primary combustion. |
