The invention relates to a power transmission with variable speed ratio, with two pulleys, each of which has a groove of variable transverse dimension or width. The pulleys are connected to one another by means of a V-driving belt and one of the pulleys is provided with a device by means of which the transverse dimension of the groove of the said pulley is adjusted under the action of the centrifugal force.
