PURPOSE:To prevent a crack at the opening part of an envelope inner body or crosstalk from occurring, by supporting the peripheral part of a cover, which joins with the opening part of a luminous envelope, with a shoulder part, and avoiding any contact with both edge parts of the cover and the envelope inner body, besides lengthening a fitting range between the inner body and the cover. CONSTITUTION:A shoulder part 18 is peripherally installed around the opening part of an envelope inner body 3, while a peripheral part 19 of a cover 15 is supported by the shoulder part 18, through which contact between an end edge part 16 of an envelope outer body 2 and the cover 15 is prevented. At suchlike construction, the cover 15 is sealed by the peripheral part of the envelope outer body 2 and a glass frit 5 and afterward, in time of being exhausted by dint of vacuum, if the cover 15 is concaved inward whereby the shoulder part 18 is compressed, there is nothing of producing any cracks. This is because the shoulder part 18 is excellent in strength against the compression stress as compared with that of the end edge part 16. On the other hand, with the suchlike shoulder part 18 installed in the opening part of the envelope inner body 3 as aforesaid, a fitting range 17 between the inner body and the cover 15 is made longer so that crosstalk is also prevented at the same time. |
