In an open-end friction spinning machine with two rollers arranged next to one another, forming a wedge-shaped nip and driven in the same direction, the roller end faces located on the yarn draw-off side are covered with a removable cover which serves as a mounting for auxiliary devices, especially a yarn draw-off tube and at least one suction insert projecting into one of the rollers.
