PURPOSE:To obtain an ultraquickly cooled light-gage metallic strip of a high melting metal having extremely less ruggedness on the front and rear and having no holes in a titled production method wherein a molten metal is ejected onto the surface of a moving cooling body by using a nozzle for ejection having a specifically shaped tip part. CONSTITUTION:A quartz nozzle 15 which holds a molten metal 13 melted with a high frequency heating coil 12 and has a nozzle port 14 having a rectangular shape is installed in proximity perpendicularly to the surface of a copper belt 11a moving in an arrow direction. Of the tip of the nozzle 15, the distance from the tip 15a in the moving direction of the belt 11a to the belt 11a is made smaller than that of the tip 15b on the opposite side. Then the molten metal 13 ejected through a nozzle port 14 onto the surface of the belt 11a is filled in the spacing between the nozzle 15 surface and the belt 11a surface and is cooled by the belt 11a; at the same time, the molten metal is made into a light-gage strip and is carried away. The flow in this stage is contracted in the moving direction of the molten metal, by which the molten metal is made more easily into laminar flow. An ultraquickly cooled light-gage strip 16 having a good surface characteristic is thus obtd. |
