PURPOSE:To control accurately the shape of a rolling material by disposing an intermediate roll between a roll and a backup roll in an offset state and installing a pressing device of a pressing roll, that adjoining to the intermediate roll, on a beam bridged between housings. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate roll 6 is disposed between a work roll 1 and a backup roll 3 in a state of offsetting it to the downstream side of a rolling reduction line, and a pressing roll 7 is disposed to be in contact with the body part of roll 6, and a roll chock 8 is engaged with the guide part 10 of a roll chock 9 in a state of freely movable back and forth, and a cylinder block 15 is provided vertically movably to a beam 13 bridged between housings 5, 5. Next, a cylinder 14 is protruded to press the side part of chock 8 so as to press the roll 7 against the roll 6, then the displacement of the pressing force is converted into the vertical displacement to adjust the deflection of roll 1 in its longitudinal direction. By this device a gap between the rolls 1, 2 is controlled, and the device is also used for controlling vertical bending. In this way, the shape of a rolling material is controlled with high accuracy and over a wide range. |
